Off-Season Sports

PYLF encourages football athletes to participate in off-season sports. Below are a few recommended sports.

  • Havoc Track & Field – Havoc Track & Field runs a youth winter program at Madison High School in Kearney Mesa. It teaches athletes the fundamentals of track and field and is good for speed and form training.
  • Aztec Rugby – Point Loma has an exceptional youth Rugby program. Rugby is an excellent complimentary sport. There are great fundamentals similarities between the two sports. Rugby provides exceptional conditioning for athletes. Aztec Rugby has a Winter season that runs from December through late February and a Summer 7-on-7 program.
  • NFL FLAG FOOTBALL SAN DIEGO - NFL Flag Football San Diego runs a Spring Program that is a good off-season sport for football skills. The season runs after Aztec Rugby.
